User Experience: Foundations Course (CPUX-F)
The essential foundational training for every usability and UX expert:
A 2-day intensive course to become a Certified Professional for Usability and User Experience, Foundation Level.
Immerse yourself in the world of human-centred design. You will learn how UX and usability go hand in hand, and become familiar with the key terms, concepts, processes and skills that are fundamental to human-centred design.
The CPUX-F certificate is based on international standards and was developed by UX and usability experts. CPUX-F covers the fundamental principles and processes of human-centred design, as described in ISO 9241–210 “Ergonomics of human-system interaction”. So if you’re looking for an internationally recognised certificate to demonstrate your UX skills and open all doors in the UX world: Here we go.
Our training course is perfectly aligned with the official CPUX-F curriculum of the UXQB and prepares you thoroughly for the certification exam.
Although the certification exam is optional, it is highly recommended. This is because it provides you with official, widely recognised proof of your acquired UX knowledge.

How does the training work?
The training course takes place over two consecutive days, from 9 am to 5 pm each day.
Day 1: Fundamentals and an introduction to the world of usability and user experience
- Basic understanding of processes and terminology in the field of usability and user experience
- Usability principles and guidelines. The human-centred design process
- Introduction to the components of the usage context
- Understanding and specifying the usage context
- Recap using sample exam questions
Day 2: In-depth study. User requirements and design
- Recap of the previous day’s content and clarification of outstanding questions
- Design: Creating design solutions
- Interaction principles, heuristics and design rules
- Usability testing, walkthroughs and user surveys
- Further evaluation methods
- Recap using sample exam questions
Lunch breaks and short breaks are, of course, included in the schedule and can also be arranged with the group on the day itself.
Support after the training? Our trainers and UX experts are happy to assist you with exam questions and UX topics even after the training.
And as an optional extra: bemorrow Deep Dive. Are two days not enough for you? Then simply book our Deep Dive as an add-on. You’ll get an extra half-day – and we’ll tailor it exactly to your needs. For example, with practical exercises, a review of the exam material, additional exam preparation, further real-world examples, or brainstorming for your current UX project.
How does the exam work?
To obtain certification, you must pass a theory exam. This is a 75-minute multiple-choice exam taken online. Each participant can arrange their own exam date. On the day of the training, we will provide you with a personal voucher code, which you can use to register for the exam with our partner Certible. This means that billing is handled entirely by us.
Certible then handles the administration of the exam itself. Exam dates are typically available at short notice; agreed exam dates can be rescheduled or cancelled via a self-service portal.
We strongly recommend that you take the exam as soon as possible after the training. The longer you wait, the greater the effort required to study… In principle, however, you can redeem the voucher code whenever you like; it has no expiry date.
How much does it cost?
€1,190 per person plus VAT for training at our premises or remotely.
Options:
- Exam: €300 per person (€240 for UPA members; €150 for students). If the exam is not passed, it can be retaken for €150.
- bemorrow Deep Dive: €590 per person
In-house training at your premises from €4,000 plus exam fees and travel costs outside Munich, depending on the number of participants.
Free cancellation up to 2 weeks before the booked date. Invoicing takes place 2 weeks before the booked date and the full price for the training and, if applicable, the Deep Dive becomes due. If you are then unable to attend at short notice, e.g. due to illness, you can of course take part at a later date. The exam can always be cancelled free of charge. All prices are exclusive of VAT.

At our place, yours or yours? We offer on-site training at our office in Munich. But you can also join in from home. Or we can come to your office to train your whole team as part of an in-house training course.
Ready for the exam: All participants who have completed CPUX training with our trainers have also secured their certificate. Or, in other words: a 100% success rate.
Start-up charm instead of a dreary office
Our training sessions take place in our lively, interdisciplinary office in Munich-Untergiesing, right next to the Kolumbusplatz underground station and Gans Woanders. With us, you won’t find yourself in an anonymous training centre, but in a relaxed, creative atmosphere – complete with a ‘shared-house kitchen’. Our conference room is perfectly equipped for full-day training sessions. And at lunchtime, we head out together to one of the nearby restaurants.
Please note that our office is not wheelchair accessible. We know it’s not ideal, but it’s not something we can change overnight. However, our remote training sessions are certainly a good alternative.
