Sustainable business model for the digital age
The challenge
Increasing digitalisation is leading to enormous changes in the financial sector. New competitors are occupying individual elements of the traditional value chain and offering digital services with high benefits and very good usability, which is putting the established players under increasing pressure. Against this backdrop, a German retail bank commissioned us to develop a target vision for adapting its business model to the digital age.
Procedure
To develop a future-proof digital vision, we combine an analytical top-down strategy approach with a bottom-up prototyping approach. Using design thinking, we developed digital service and product concepts for future core target groups. From the vision, we derive strategic guidelines, principles of action, the adaptation of the business model and relevant touchpoints for the future retail business. In the next step, we support the internal communication and implementation of the strategy.

Establishment of an actionable strategy to ensure the future relevance of the bank, which also sensitises and activates employees to the urgency.
